WHAT TO EXPECT AT CROSSPOINTE
CrossPointe is not a building. We are a group of people seeking after the Living God.
The first visit to a new church can raise questions. Will I feel welcome? What about my children? What should I wear? We hope this page will help you know what to expect when you visit with us at CrossPointe.
We want to invite you to come early on your first visit. Our celebration service begins at 10:30, but we come together at 10 a.m. to talk and share a cup of coffee, as well as enjoying a great continental breakfast. We value our guests and want the opportunity to get to know you.
Expect people to dress casually and comfortably. You are welcome to dress up if you like, but do not feel any pressure from us to do so. The pastor and worship team regularly wear jeans for our celebration service. Please come just as you are.
During the Sunday experience, expect high-energy music filled with the sounds of today. Our band, which features guitars, drums, bass, keys and quality vocals, plays a blend of praise songs to help us focus on God and the message of the day.
Expect a meaningful message from the Bible that you can apply to your daily life. At CrossPointe, we believe that the Bible is speaking to us today, just like it has spoken to many before us over the centuries. We believe that God speaks to us through scripture, and that He has much to say that can help us TODAY. Elementary age children can also enjoy a Bible lesson delivered in an age appropriate way at the Kids connection, offered during the teaching time.
Do not expect to be asked to give financially. While those who have made CrossPointe their church home have an opportunity to give, we want our Sunday celebration to be our gift to you. Please contact us at 972.723.8920 or email@example.com if you would like additional information before attending. We hope to see you soon!
Frequently Asked Questions
What About My Younger Kids?
Age-appropriate care and exciting teaching are provided for children from birth through fifth grade. For more details about what your children can expect, see “Kids Connection” at the top of this page.
What About My Teens?
We value having students with us in the Sunday morning celebration service. However, we recognize their need to connect with other students in a setting all their own, so in addition to a number of special events and student adventures throughout the year, we provide a weekly time of worship on Sundays at 5 p.m. along with age-appropriate LIFE Groups on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Most activities are held at the Activity Center. LIFE Groups are small group, home meetings that are a large part of the community experience of CrossPointe and offer us all the opportunity to "do life together". LIFE Groups provide the opportunity for you to meet new people, to establish and nurture authentic friendships, and to pursue spiritual growth with others just like you who wish to become completely committed Christ-followers. At CrossPointe we believe that the the central way we operate as a church in carrying out God's goals for our lives is in LIFE groups. We have a goal to connect 100% of our regular attenders through the LIFE group ministry. There are groups for couples, families, women only, men only, and for those with special interests.
