Get Fit! – “Shaping Up for a Healthy Life”
Summer is in full swing and people are doing what they do this time of year…vacationing and enjoying the outdoors. Many enjoy heading to the beach for that golden tan, for some swimming or snorkeling, for beach volleyball, and for other fun, outdoor activities. Some people, however, shy away from the beach, because they just don’t have that beach body, and they fret spending time surrounded by people who are in super shape or, as they say, who are just plain ripped.
Whether we like spending time at the beach or whether our muscles are well defined physically is not really of utmost importance in the grand scheme of things. From the pages of the Bible, we find that what we look like physically is not what God deems most important. What is important to God and should be of value to Christians is doing those things that make for good health.
To be in good health or in good shape from God’s standpoint means being fit not only physically, but also relationally, financially, and spiritually. Although the summer is well under way and we may think it is too late to get that beach body before the summer ends, it is never too late to shape up for a healthy life. This is a wonderful monthly event. Your child(ren) will join us for a fabulous time which will start out with a movie of the month on our big screen, then structured play, activities and/or craft...we’ll provide popcorn & drinks. Additional snacks available at the concession stand. We will take care of the kids while you enjoy a night out.
